I'm baffled by the thinking that goes in to designing Olympic mascots. My only assumption is that mascot designers eat a ton of peyote and a sack of Funyuns, then puke on a big sheet of newsprint.

Canada has now presented its own entry in a long history of Olympic mascot weirdness.

These are way less weird then some past olympic mascots. I think they're cute!
Well, yeah, compared to some that have been done, these are comparatively okay. But still, who decided "let's attach a weasel to a dog to a sandwich to an ear of corn," or whatever it is they did? There is only one explanation for such thinking, and Pink Floyd music is part of it.
Not to dis on the Floyd, mind you.
